Puma has been at the top of the performance styling totem pole for a good while now…  Well, they just raised themselves a notch higher with their recent release of the Glow Rider, their third edition of the Puma bike.  This thing is mad sick… it is a single gear, foldable bike that has, you guessed it, glow in the dark paint!  It is part of the Urban Mobility lineup, a collection created with the needs of a city dweller in mind, comprising apparel, accessories and footwear.

It may seem like a bit of a novelty, but the Glow Rider addresses legitimate safety issues in the form of night riding visibility.  The night glow effect paint used on the steel frame of the bike collects the sunrays during the day, and gives this light off when darkness has fallen, lasting for several hours…. Suh Weet!

For those of you who are into apparel coordination, y’all are in luck.  With the purchase of a Puma bike, you get a matching courier bag, a wind and water resistant jacket as well as a tee…. well played, Puma.  Well played.

The Glow Rider rolls in two different colors: buttermilk, which glows in green, and orange (glows in orange).  The bike retails for $1600 and is available HERE…. I think the Metro Hippie just found their new ride of choice!
